Applied Science Department

The Applied Sciences Department is an allied department which serves as a bedrock for the engineering departments of the Institute. The department takes care of core subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Professional communications. The department has competent and knowledgeable faculty and well equipped laboratories.

Department of Applied Science is a multidisciplinary department. Department has a team of dedicated faculty members who are actively engaged in imparting quality teaching in basic sciences and communication skills to the engineering students. It is an endeavour of the department to provide students such an ambience that they have holistic growth leading to excellence in their professional life as well as social life.

English and Communication Skills Lab


Communication Lab facility is provided for improving speaking and listening skills of the students. Language Lab offers students a platform to enhance English language skills like communication skills and other soft skills in the technical world. It keeps them ready for interviews and future job environment and makes them confident in expressing comfortably. With use of AV aids various sessions of group discussion, reading skills, listening skills and oral presentations are conducted.

Applied Physics Lab


Physics Lab is designed to provide students practical perspective to the theories and models that they study in the courses in the class. It brings clarity in the mind of the students regarding the basic concept of the subject. It includes various equipments to impart practical skills related to measurement of different physical quantities and verification of different laws. Few of these equipments are vernier caliper, screw gauge, spherometer, Gravesand Apparatus, Stock's Law apparatus, Fly Wheel, voltmeter, ammeter, galvano meters, resistance boxes, lenses, pendulum, inclined planes, magnets, etc.

Applied Chemistry Lab


Chemistry Laboratory has all the necessary equipments for preparation of samples and standards for various analyses of liquid and solid samples. The laboratory houses traditional equipment including glassware, electric oven, centrifuge, aggregate mill, and chemical balances. In order to foster scientific temper and spirit of enquiry in students by letting them test and verify various theories and principles of chemistry, the college has well equipped, maintained, instrumented chemistry laboratory.
